Experimental petrology is the systematic study of geological processes by experimental methods. The igneous experimental modelling database is a comprehensive collection of the published experimental petrology studies, which contains a primary table and several sub-tables, with citation information and experimental group number as the primary key index. The primary table contains the experimental conditions (e.g., temperature, pressure, oxygen fugacity, capsule, etc.), and the sub-table contains the major and trace compositions of the starting material, minerals, glass, etc.. At present, a large number of experimental data related to mantle melting are collected in this database and expected to provide an opportunity for the study of mantle-derived magma processes.
