Potassic magmatic rocks is extensively distributed along Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan fault in the western Yunnan, many previous studies focused on the generation of these rocks, and we collected published data involving major and trace elements, rare earth elements, and Nd isotopes of the whole rock and Hf isotopes of zircons, as well as the age of the rocks. The data show that the rocks including ultra-basic and basic rocks were generated by a contemporaneous tectonic thermal event because of the similar geological age. However, ultra-basic and basic rocks are rich in large ion lithophile elements and poor in high field strength elements, with high (87Sr/86Sr)i values and low ƐNd(t) values, which indicates that the magma of the rocks were from enriched lithospheric mantle. In contrast, felsic rocks are rich in SiO2, which suggests that they were from the partial melting of thickening crust.
